Being based in a design hub, D3, we specifically focus on providing legal advisory to designers, artists, PR companies, fashion designers, jewellers, design companies on intellectual property rights including trademarks, copyrights, patents, industrial design.

We have advised prominent local designers and companies on assignment of their intellectual property rights, including negotiating contract clauses with purchasers. We have also assisted designers on how to handle and construct contracts with their employee’s, manufacturer’s and collaborating parties with particular focus on protection of intellectual property rights and avoiding legal risks.

We also assist our client in filing applications and registration of their intellectual property rights. Most importantly, we are available to train creatives and their employees on the best possible methods of recognising and as such avoiding situations that may attract claims, minimizing their legal costs and educating them with regards to the best possible legal conduct in their respective fields.

Accomplishments: A case rejected by most firms on the basis of being un-winnable, was successfully completed by our IP department. The team member responsible for this cases’ success was able to pull it off by using a very basic argument, overlooked by the other firms to conclude the case.
